Job Description

Occupational Therapist role at NeuroRehab 

We are searching for a creative and confident part-time Occupational Therapist to join our supportive multidisciplinary team at our Albury clinic. 

The position is ideal for applicants with part-time availability of 3 days per week (those seeking school-friendly hours are encouraged to apply), with the option to extend to full-time hours in the future (if you are after full-time straight away let us know!). 

The caseload will be working with the adult population and assisting people with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and a diverse range of other neurological conditions. 

Clinical snapshot:

  • Delivery of therapeutic services including OT assessments, interventions, treatment planning, education, and reporting.
  • Prescription and funding requests of AT as required.
  • Support clients with a person-centred approach, to promote inclusion and new possibilities.
  • Collaborate with a well-structured multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervision of less experienced OTs (if senior).

Our clients are predominantly NDIS participants and some TAC and My Aged Care-funded clients.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • 1 to 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience.
  • Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screen. 
  • COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an NDIS framework.
  • Familiarity, knowledge and understanding of prescribing a range of assistive technology.
  • We are willing to consider visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
