The role is part time, 3 days per week. The preferred working days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

About the Role:
NeuroRehab Clinical Neuropsychologist Role
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist at NeuroRehab, you will be responsible for delivering cognitive and/or psychological assessments and interventions including individualised therapy, practical skills building intervention, and using a positive behaviour support framework. You will conduct neuropsychological and/or psychological assessment to inform interventions and provide evidenced based cognitive rehabilitation.
You will be working with a caseload of clients with a range of acquired and progressive neurological conditions.
The Neuropsychologist will be working alongside our Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and wider allied health teams to provide multi-disciplinary intervention to support clients to meet their goals.
You will:
Provide neuropsychological assessment, feedback and intervention to understand cognitive strengths and challenges and help participants reach their goals.
Provide supervision to a small team of psychologists (Board approved supervisor status required) and departmental support (intake, risk management and quality improvement)
Help participants with skills and capacity building and promote social connection and community participation.
Provide intervention for adjustment to acquired disability or illness.
Assist with promoting mental health and wellbeing.
Work with people with complex support needs.
We are seeking applications for part-time, 3 days a week with flexible workplace arrangements.
NeuroRehab clients:
Our clients are predominantly NDIS participants, along with some TAC-funded and privately funded clients. Clients typically present with a range of diagnoses, including acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, neuro-diverse development and mental health conditions.
NeuroRehab clinic:
The Neuropsychologist position will be based between our Thomastown and Deer Park clinics. In addition to clinic services, the role also has a home-visit component to enable work/training in real-life environments.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
Registration and Endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist
3+ years of employment experience and able to complete intervention as well as assessments
Board approved supervisor status
Experience in working with clients with health or neurological conditions including acquired brain injury and progressive neurological conditions.
Driver's license.
Current full registration with AHPRA.
Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening checks prior to appointment.
Desirable:
Previous experience providing services within a NDIS framework.
Experience working with people across the lifespan
Previous experience in Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
Up to date with Covid-19 and influenza vaccination status
